Conversion Notes: This write up is based on the revised burster character class found in Rifts World Book 12: Psyscape. (*) = These powers draw END from the I.S.P. Endurance Reserve. All psionic abilities also draw END from this reserve. This write-up uses Champions 5th edition rules.
Bursters are psychics with pyrokinetic abilities. They usually appear completely normal for their race, but they are psychics with vast ability over fire. They are immune to fire, can cause fire to cease, have their bodies burst into fire and shoot bolts of flame. Their flaming aura also protects them from attacks. They can also sense any fires near them. They usually have only minimal skills.
Humans and humanoid races can become bursters, as long as they can become master psychics. Possible other races include algor, amaki stone-men, bearmen, centaurs, changlings, coyles, cyclops, dwarves, elves, gigantes, goblins, kankoran, kobolds, jotan, lizard-men, minotaurs, nimro, ogres, ratlings, titans and wolfen.
Bursters have a few other unrelated psionic abilities. They normally start with three powers from the following: death trance, empathy, levitation, mind block, resist fatigue, resist hunger, resist pain, resist thirst, see aura, sense time and telepathy.
