Hero Abilities Package - Seeker

Seeker

Seeker Racial Package (Cost 302-48=254)

Seeker Tracker Occupational Package (Cost 10)

Conversion Notes: This package is based on the seeker race from the Rifts role playing game. Psionic abilities draw END form the I.S.P. Endurance Reserve. This write-up uses Champions 5th edition rules.

The seekers are a race of giants from another dimension. They are commonly trained and commanded, or owned, by more intelligent and/ or powerful dimensional travelers, mercenaries or bounty hunters. The seeker is huge, towering over 20 feet (6 m) when standing erect. They are frequently mistaken as a cyclops because the giant has one huge eye that dominates its head. Two large horns protrude from the sides of the head and help to protect the eye. A comparatively tiny and inconspicuous mouth with blunt teeth is located below the eye. The hands are oversized and powerful. The feet are prehensile hands like those of an Earth ape. The seeker has a low intelligence, but is an instinctive hunter and works well with other creatures and in groups. The giants are omnivorous, meaning they eat raw meat, fish, fruit, vegetables and other edibles. Their keen senses and vision make them ideal hunters and have led to their capture, enslavement and sale by Naruni Enterprises (see Rifts Mercenaries) and other dimensional traders and slavers. The Splugorth have a few of these creatures but not many this was one market commodity captured and dominated by the Naruni. Many True All an leans, undead slayers and some other dimension spanning champions have made it a point to free enslaved seekers whenever they can. Many undead slayers travel the Megaverse with one or more seekers as their companions. Seekers have a high regard for intelligent life forms, especially humanoids and dragons. This means those of an unprincipled or good alignment avoid wanton murder and destruction. The fearsome giants can show astonishing gentleness and compassion.

Seekers are large blue aliens with a single eye, hairless ape-like bodies, and large tusks. They are often kept by smarter races as companions and trackers. They heal very quickly, and can see the invisible. Seekers rarely learn other languages, and instead rely on their telepathy or electronic translation devices. Seekers generally do not learn additional magic or gain psionic abilities besides their natural abilities. Almost all Seekers are professional trackers.

Note: Add magic abilities. Teleport Self +1000 lbs 300 miles, Shrink Self to 6 feet tall, Escape and Invisibility.

To learn more about seekers, I suggest purchasing and reading Rifts Sourcebook Three: Mindwerks by Kevin Siembieda.
